iPhone Security Lock?

In a world where convenience rules our lives, the iPhone continues to surprise. I have seen alot of great applications developed for the iPhone including blood glucose testing and wireless air phone applications. Now the trendy development portal of the iPhone comes home security. Even though other wireless devices can utilize Schlage’s LiNK application it is the cool factor that come into play here.
The iPhone software is a free application following the $299.00 purchase from Schlage plus a $13.00 monthly usage fee. The starter kit includes a deadbolt lock, a network communications bridge, and a module for remotely controlling a lamp or appliance. The bridge connects to the home’s existing router and transmits data via low-power radio signals to the LiNK System lock.
Advantages to Homeowners include email notifications when someone opens the lock by entering a code on the lock’s keypad and the ability to track temporary entry codes provided to cleaning services or painters. All information is stored for a 90 day period then purged.
The bridge communicating using the X-Wave Technology connect’s to the home’s existing router and transmits data via low-power radio signals to the LiNK System lock. Schlage LiNK provides fully encrypted communication between the lock and the user (similar to the security used in on-line banking) your access and online information is safe and secure.
It rages me! How about you? Comment on your Rage.
