Jon and Kate

Oh, make it stop! Jon and Kate are apparently about as smug a fake couple as they come. Two individuals on TV arguing about life and erroneous behaviors surrounded by children. I am so sick of reality airings about fat people, celebrity rehab and reality couples I could vomit. I do NOT watch this show and do NOT have to based on what I hear and read.
Normally I look forward to listening to my morning radio show program that sponsors news and celebrity gossip according to who’s who and what’s new in their lives. For the last several days however its been covered up with the latest on Jon and Kate. Who cares about this couple and what makes them important anyway? They came from nothing, are nothing and will continue to be nothing but rich overpaid celebrity wannabees. It is fact you could take any couple in America, put a camera in there life and as long as they have children and argue or mutter “divorce” they too would become rich and famous.
Its been reported that almost 10 million people tuned into the season 5 premiere on Monday night, May 25th. Ten million people viewing the High Heeled idiot Kate and her broken down depressed husband Jon. Its no wonder he is found in bars at 2am with a 23-year old blonde elementary teacher. Jon is probably looking for a release he can’t seem to find with Kate.
The following article quote by Dadcentric has the best solution in my opinion:
“It is up to us, as fellow parents, to make it happen. We must stop being their enablers.
No more tuning into watch the train wreck. No buying (or even viewing for free online) the tabloids that are following their every move and whine. Avoid all books written by or about these people (Kate is currently pushing some cheesy photo album of the kids and seems to have a cookbook on tap for October). And, for God’s sake, if you see Jon hanging in a bar at 2 a.m. with some hot young thing, smack him upside the head and tell him to get back to the bed he’s made at home and deal with it.”
I could not agree more. Stop watching, stop thinking and certainly stop funding these idiots. Take away the camera, hope they get counseling and let’s all get back to what’s important in our own lives. I hope all will cease watching shallow, egotistical people on TV in hopes of improving there own lives. It won’t happen and certainly not by putting time, effort and conversation into a reality show like Jon and Kate.

…I’m sincerely surprised why people even discuss other individuals, unless they are the politics or some other elected personalities. When it comes to TV – it’s all about the ratings. If someone doesn’t like what they see – just don’t watch it! Otherwise it’s hypocrisy…

I agree completely. I do not watch Jon and Kate based on principle alone but get tired of hearing about them everywhere. In some small way I hope all the media pressure including these blog posts will create a cause for notice that Jon and Kate should be removed from the airwaves. They obviously have marital problems that are starting to affect there children.

Thats the intent of “All the Rage”. As time permits and readers submit comments and email I add these types of activities to the Blog. The future site construction “currently in progress” will be more reader oriented allowing instant article submission (moderated) and message boards for all topics that cover any reader. Irony: The Google ad on this page currently reads “Jon and Kate Plus 8, Don’t Miss The Latest News About Their Divorce. Read The Frisky!”
I have to admit that I have watched the show a handful of times over the years. They do need help (help that money can’t buy) and I wish only the best for those kids.
I don’t think they will be going anywhere soon though, they bring in far to much green to big corporations for that to happen and America is so sucked into reality shows that it’s not likely they’ll stop paying attention to them anytime soon.
